Ontogenesis of speech is a acquisition sociophysiologic process, in which appear the leading grammatical elements, when two rods are articulated together afterward first year of life, and to proceed with an complex and gradually progressive development in incorporation of other features of speech. There are different methods to assess speech development and specifically sentential one, in literature are emphasized mean lenght of enunciation and sentence complexity. In this paper, we put forward part of results of the national research: Study of speech development of Cuban children (in process of information editing) in which specifically we describe all concerned with sentence length. Authors verify an increase in sentence length as to be getting on in years, where there is a predominance until 21/2 years old of 3 words by phrase, until 3 1/2 years old of 4 words, and over this age, of 5 words by phrase emitted by children, during interview. Factors of more incidence in this process include age, mother cultural level, and its environment, mainly nursery. There wasn´t significant relation to sex.
