LEYVA MORENO, Urbano et al. Influence of flight conditions on the natural history of mitral valvular prolapse in a fighting pilot. Rev Cub Med Mil [online]. 2005, vol.34, n.4, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3046.

A case is reported of a male patient, a fighting pilot, who was diagnosed mitral valvular prolapse without hemodynamic repercussion. A year after being diagnosed, he began to present early electrical complications and clinical variations during his evolution that led to evaluate his physical fitness degree for the active service. This common affection in the general population is usually asymptomatic and of good prognosis, and the cardiovascular complications deriving from it are late, but in this case they appeared early and they were particularly disabling.

Palavras-chave : Mitral valvular prolapse; valvulopathy; fighting pilot; guides.
