This article describes the Economic Control Studies (Degree courses) in University of Havana, founded in 1968 and part of economic system studies in Cuba in that epoch. It describes its academic antecedent. It analyzes the times of foundation. It is distinguished the designers and first teachers, the program of courses, the teachers formed in first generations of graduates, some publications and graduate students. Finally it related the evolution and ending of the studies.
