A suggestion for acquiring core principalship competencies within and through groups is made, analyzing the context, and taking into account university extension, and peculiarities of Cuban higher education. Theoretical (historical-logical and systemic-structural), empirical, analytic-synthetic, and inductive-deductive methods of research were used.
