50 patients operated on of bilateral varicocele by laparoscopic route, as well as their family representatives, were surveyed aimed at knowing the particularities of the physician-patient relation linked with the practice of minimum access surgery in urology. The age, educational level, and sex of the patients and their relatives were made known. Some aspects of the interpersonal communication and the satisfaction degree of the patients in relation to the medical care process were also evaluated. The age group 16-20 (31; 62.0 %) and with the preuniversity level (23; 46.0 %) predominated among the patients. Most of the relatives were in their fifth decade of life (25; 52.0 %) and with similar educational level (20; 40.0 %). None of the groups had poor marks. The good mark prevailed in the evaluated aspects. It was proved that the team work and the establishment of a satisfactory physician-patient relation is essential for the success of any surgical treatment; however novel and sophisticated it may be
