The gender approach in health care allows visualizing the inequalities that exist between men and women and thus making interventions in line with the needs of each sex. A documentary analysis was made, which explained the theoretical reasons and the gender socialization as well as how this is reflected throughout the various phases of life and according to the conditions in which the man lives. Also, the usefulness of the use of indicators making it possible to identify differences between sexes and other procedures to attain this objective were presented.
