As part of a strategy for continuing education, actions were carried out to improve education on Science-Technology-Society at Cuban medical universities. This paper presents the results of an exploratory study on the introduction of Social Studies of Science and Technology to the postgraduate formation of health professionals. Results were analyzed, using descriptive statistics, and assessed according to participants’ cognitive level and satisfaction. The preparation of professors and the quality and significance of the course were considered by participants as positive, which is to impact on both research and innovation of Cuban medical universities.
