This bibliographical revision of José Martí’s educational ideas, their assessment and materialization within the Cuban educational system, was realized because of the importance of educational problems and the use of Martí’s thought within the different activities carried out by Cuban students. Information about the educational project based on Martí’s ideas, its political-social dimension and essential characteristics are among the most important results.
