Literature review on the main issues related to infertile couples. It includes concept and classification, physiology of ovulation, causes in women and men, basic tests that are commonly performed evolution and prognosis, and health actions to provide appropriate orientation to the infertile couple. It is aimed at creating a teaching complementary material for Medicine and Nursing students, as well as for residents and specialists in general medicine and gynecology.
