A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out to expose the most important problems for the direction of the pedagogical process that occurs in the 3rd year of the Medicine career, on the development of the directive function of the Comprehensive Medical Care (AMI) that guides its actions as General Physician (MG) whose training compromises the current Cuban medical concept. The main aspects of, what to do and how are addressed, each substantive process of the referent university is involved from the Internal Medicine subject, through a system of curricular, extension and socio-political activities that guides the group of the year
