This article continues the study of the process of philosophical theorization developed by the 19th century Cuban educator José de la Luz y Caballero in the notes 17 to 20 of his book Objection to the philosophical doctrines of Victor Cousin. The work assesses Luz's arguments on the inconvenience of the use of Cousin's 1829 Course as a textbook: the role of experience in knowledge, Psychology in the system of knowledge, the brain as the governing center of the human organism and the unity of the scientific research method. The objective of the article is to analyze the process of enrichment and theoretical systematization of the set of philosophical categories developed by Luz in the comments made to the notes under study in his book, by dealing with various gnoseological, methodological, anthropological, psychological, theological problems and especially the criticism of eclecticism.
