The arranged marriage is a cultural manifestation based on customary norms, which consists of formalizing a commitment between the parents of the suitor and the intended bride, without the consultation or consent of the young woman. The objective of the study was to describe the ritual procedures of arranged marriage in the Huancavelica region. The methodology is of a qualitative approach, phenomenological design, the sample was selected by non-probabilistic snowball sampling, and the information was collected through a semi-structured interview questionnaire. For data analysis, the information triangulation technique was used. The result was reached: the arranged marriage has established four procedures: sending correspondence to the house of the bride, visits to the house of the bride, religious-civil marriage and the celebration. Conclusion: it was determined that the procedures of the arranged marriage ritual in the region of Huancavelica, Peru, is atypical, they are practiced without dowry of material goods, taking into account only the qualities of the bride and groom, with high influence of the Catholic religion and civil rights regulations.
