The work proposes the bases of a Digital Teaching Competencies Framework for practicing teachers in the National Education System in Cuba, which has not existed until now. The research assumed a mixed approach, making use of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with emphasis on the review of highly visible international references, the consultation of the results of a diagnosis on Digital Teaching Competencies at the national level and Expert judgment was applied. The bases of a Digital Teaching Competencies Framework are presented, which were obtained from a gradual derivation of the constructs that compose it (dimensions, areas and knowledge) that in their synergy would guarantee modeling what is aspired to characterize a competent teacher. to use Digital Technologies in the educational teaching process. The proposal made was submitted to the criteria of experts and specialists and the results obtained reflected a consistent evaluation in each of the questions put up for consideration, which shows a correct correspondence with what is demanded by the National Education System in Cuba.
