The development of a country depends, to a great extent, on the importance given to leadership in educational processes to respond to the demands of social changes and, consequently, ensure its economy, its politics, its culture. In this purpose, a director with innovative projection is needed, as a key figure in his institution. However, practice reveals deficiencies in the acquisition of skills to be in tune with the latest advances. Hence, this article declares as an objective: to base the study of the director's management in the current social context of the Dominican Republic, from the references provided by science and technology. In this sense, different methods were applied that, from the theoretical inquiry from the historical-logical and inductive-deductive perspective, favored the assessment of primary and secondary sources and the analysis of documents as criteria, as well as the empirical ones, from The experiences in the context of management practices contributed to the structuring of a proposal aimed at promoting the desired quality in education from an educational management that is increasingly active, dynamic, contextualized, innovative and whose leadership reveals adherence to ethics.
