The complex realities of today's world, which threaten human existence, demand the articulation of sustainable development strategies that take into account the socioeconomic base, scientific-technological creativity and education as a structuring element. In this context, Advanced Education becomes relevant as a scientific educational theory, by focusing its objectives on the processes of updating and improvement of human resources for the improvement of professional and human performance. In this sense, the objective of this article is to argue the relevance of the Systems of Improvement as a proposed technology of Advanced Education for the improvement of the pedagogical professional performance of teachers in Higher Education, taking into account the dialectic relationship between science and technology in its theoretical and scientific-methodological bases. The theoretical methods propitiated the deepening of teachers' professional performance in the educational and socio-political context of the current Cuban society and the characterization of the Systems of Improvement as an alternative and figure of Advanced Education in its theoretical conception to satisfy the demands of diverse problems identified in the educational sphere and its application for the pedagogical professional improvement.
