Resumo

The work aims to analyze from a conceptual approach, the relationship established between the supply of drinking water to communities and their impact on human health, taking as a case study to the City of Machala and Guayaquil Ecuador, from the different criteria discussed in the literature, public opinions and certificates concerning product quality marketable product deposits. In this research the method of document analysis was used, it allowed the assessment of the state of art in this sense and from him, establish formal or informal relations that occur in the bond supply water quality-human health. As key findings highlight the identification of the elements that distinguish the service under study and the lack of a regulatory structure that ensures a healthy and legally supported consumption, with a corresponding impact on health standards not reported in the literature analysis established of the relevant considerations to achieve the complement supply of drinking-water human health, allowing the construction of devices to ensure and regulate the process sustainably.
