MUNOZ ARROYAVE, Elkin Argiro. Positions of social actors and territorial transformations of tourism in Santa Fe de Antioquia. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2023, vol.15, n.3, pp. 96-109.  Epub 30-Jun-2023. ISSN 2218-3620.

Territories that have been built as tourist destinations constantly undergo transformations that promotes the implementation of the vision and image of that particular phenomenon. Such a situation makes the social actors involved also take different positions regarding tourism, either for or against it. This article aims to analyse the positions of the social actors involved in tourism in Santa Fe de Antioquia (Colombia), as well as their relationships and organization to oppose or adapt to these tourism dynamics. For this purpose, a qualitative methodology is used, using techniques such as surveys and social network analysis to identify discourses, imaginaries, relationships and actions of social actors in the territory. It is concluded that the social actors in Santa Fe de Antioquia, in spite of evidencing several negative characteristics of tourism in the municipality, present a positive position towards this phenomenon, accept it widely and adapt to the new transformations that tourism creates in their territory. This can be interpreted as a sign of the incorporation of the developmentalist discourse of the state and economic actors on tourism.
