YOELVIS, Bolaños-Álvarez; KIRENIA, Cos-Negret; ANIEL, Guillén-Arruebarrena  e  ANA MARAY, Torres-Martín. Validation of the Mercury Determination Method in Sediment and Biological Tissue Using Direct Mercury Analyzer (DMA-80). Rev Cub Quim [online]. 2016, vol.28, n.3, pp. 784-792. ISSN 2224-5421.

This project has been aimed at validating the method of determination of mercury in sediment and biological tissue in a Direct Mercury Analyzer DMA-80 through the technique of Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry. The parameters of validation that were evaluated were linearity, intermediate reproducibility, limits of detection and quantification, calculation of uncertainty of measurements, which are set forth in the International Standard (TS 368: 2010 Guide for the validation of test methods for food chemicals ). Reference materials own matrices under study were used. All parameters evaluated met the requirements of current legislation, which ensures greater reliability of the results generated. The validated method is able to detect and quantify levels of mercury found in nature, satisfying the guides sediment quality standards and technical criteria of food consumption of different national and international standards.

Palavras-chave : mercury; DMA; validation; sediment; biological tissue.
