The essay addresses the concept of culture, referring to the whole creation that humanity has made in its historical development, a category that is related to the civilizational challenge brought by globalization for our peoples. It highlights the need to establish the relationship between the categories culture-national identity-development and its link with educational / cultural policies to promote creativity and preserve cultural heritage and diversity. It is not possible to remove from the analysis the contemporary approach to the categories "modernity" and "modern", as well as the school-family relationship and its importance for the achievement of today's school objectives in the region. As specificity, the role of play, literature, art and exploration in the formation process is incorporated among other aspects.
