This review provides an approach to some of the main ideas and proposals of a book like Investigar para Comunicar, whose reading is relevant because it can and should contribute to the consolidation of experiences such as research for the practice, production and management of public communication. A growing trend due to its creative nature and potential, to transcend traditional and nineteenth-century conceptions about the function of research, for an approach that also includes it as a direct promoter of social transformation and development.
