Communication in school management constitutes a socio-psychological aspect that manifests itself in the socio-affective climate of the educational institution. In the present work, we reflect on the professional activity of the director of the school and the importance of communication to train, unite and transform teachers in wanting and being able to act, and thus strengthen the identity and performance of the institution under the influence of the current international and national context through which society travels. For the development of the investigation the following have been fundamental methods: analysis and synthesis, inductive-deductive and the functional systemic method. In addition to the empirical methods that contribute to obtain relevant data for the development of this study. The place of communication in school management is considered, and trend milestones are highlighted that show that communication is an essential skill in school principals.
