The article aims to determine the uses of the social network Facebook in the community of "Mujeres Cuenca", with emphasis on the topics of interest of its members. For this purpose, 87 publications corresponding to the month of December 2022 were analyzed, out of a total of 4942, with 159 daily on average. The publications related to topics such as health, economy and job offers stood out. The study concludes that the virtual community is active because the woman acquires a space in her group and such practices are born from the collective construction from the exchange of information, knowledge and the participation of its members. In this community, interactive communication is decentralized and horizontal, which allows members to express themselves openly, strengthening their empowerment.
