The article presents reflections for the audiovisual approach to the rituals of a primordial food in Cuban culture, which makes sense from a deliberate and contextualized strategy of return to ancestry. This research endeavor seeks to contribute to the rescue of the historical memory of a practice that rooted the idiosyncrasy and daily life of the first village from the very dawn of the civilizing conformation of the island of Cuba, today extended, resemanticized and enriched in many other places of the country, even by entrepreneurship and tourism
