GARCIA CEDENO, María Leonila et al. Inclusion in Higher Education by Means of Tutorships to Visually Impaired Students. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2016, vol.35, n.3, pp. 148-160. ISSN 0257-4314.

Management It is a fact that Ecuadorian education respects diversity and is inclusive. The Technical University of Manabi is an institution that prides itself on having visually impaired students. This paper is aimed at showing experiences gained by means of tutorships to blind and visually impaired students doing a degree in Clinical Psychology. A humanistic approach and pedagogical resources are taken as starting points to improve the current education system. Theoretical and empirical methods of analysis such as scientific observation, surveys, and psychological tests were used. The results show that these students are required to be systematically assisted by tutors in order to enhance their potential performance, and abilities to make plans for their lives, contribute to their self-realization, integration into societies, and development of social skills. They also show that families play an important role therein.
