In this paper, social relevance of educational programs offered specifically by the School of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Autonomous University of Nuevo León, is examined. The theoretical and contextual framework is derived from analyzing sources and interpreting historical events, and a solution to the research problem is suggested. The research object and field are described, and the major results of the initial diagnosis made are presented.
