Getting higher education programs accredited by recognized national and international accrediting organizations is an endeavor made by persons and bodies involved to improve higher education. In this paper, the process of getting the Mechatronic Engineering Program at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León accredited by the Consejo de Acreditación de la Enseñanza de la Ingeniería (CACEI) - Accreditation Council for Engineering Education - is presented. Actions, in particular, are described. The results of this process clearly show the strengths of the Program.
