In disaster situations, one of the vital problems that the population must face is the lack of food or the impossibility of adequate food. The objective of this work is to analyze the social role of the graduate of Food Sciences in disaster scenes. For this, the professional's curriculum for job performance in such circumstances and participation in food-related actions, in the disaster reduction cycle in Cuba, were analyzed, integrating Cuban experiences with those of other countries and international organizations. Theoretical and empirical methods and techniques were used in the research, among which the historical-logical, the analysis-synthesis, the bibliographic review and the interviews with specialists stand out. As a result, it was concluded that the graduate of Food Science plays the role of methodological advisor with an active participation in everything related to feeding in disaster situations.
