In the present investigation, a procedure is applied for the management and prevention of risks by processes in an institution of higher education during the pandemic period imposed by the new Sars-COV-2 coronavirus that allows managing, detecting, evaluating and controlling failures, their occurrence and its consequences, in addition to preventing them. As a result, risks are evaluated and a risk prevention plan is prepared, which facilitated better decision-making, providing authorities with more guarantees about the ability to deal with potential risks in the organization in exceptional situations.
