The purpose of this research article is to systematize the contributions of the Pilón Municipal University Center, based on the university management of knowledge and innovation oriented to Local Development during the period 2018-2022. For the analysis of the information, a qualitative methodology was used that facilitated the comprehensive study of the phenomenon. The role and relevance of the institution as a local agent from the link with its economic, social and environmental environment stand out as results. Finally, the main challenges are raised with a view to promoting, through the science, technology and innovation system, the formation of local human potential and the improvement of processes in terms of innovative impact of the territory.
