BARREIRO RAMOS, Héctor; BARREIRO PENARANDA, Adriana; FERNANDEZ VIERA, Eugenio  e  MARRERO MARTIN, Ofelia. Certificate of recognition for the ingestion of alcoholic beverages. Rev Cubana Med Gen Integr [online]. 2005, vol.21, n.1-2, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3038.

Among the so-called medico-legal procedures there are 3 that are very important for a physician: the death certificate, that of first intention of an injured and that of recognition for the ingestion of alcoholic beverages. There are some publications that can help us to made the first two; however, we do not know about any publication on the latter. Therefore, it is necessary to spread the knowledge existing on this regard. The result of this procedure is unquestionably significant for the individual subjected to it and for the legal bodies, in addition to the little time available at the undergraduate level to explain this type of acting. The standing legislation and the papers related to the topic of the most common poisonings and addictions in our country, mainly from the bibliographic collection of the Institute of Legal Medicine, were reviewed. A manual or practical guide was prepared for the clinical examination of the ingestion of alcoholic beverages or intoxication, its differential diagnosis with the poisoning due to the consumption of methanol and marijuana, and the taking of samples among other questions. The material is mainly directed to physicians and 5th-year medical students.

Palavras-chave : Certificate; poisoning; intoxication.
