An observational, descriptive and retrospective study was conducted on morbidity in the emergency services of "Lawton" Polyclinic during 2005. A high attendance of the patients to the emergency services, mainly among females, was found. The arterial pressure check-up, the acute respiratory infections, asthma, arterial hypertension and acute diarrheal diseases were the main causes of their visits. The most frequent causes of observation were represented by asthma, hypertensive crises, and precordial pain.
