This situation, in couple relationships is conditioned in a greater extent, by established elements of patriarchal culture. Presence of couple psychological violence includes the fact that victim and victimizing person had a previous generally intimate relationship, that coexistence factor has been significant for violence triggering, as well as that the home be the more frequent place for its manifestation, provoking an increase in risk of similar future behaviors in its members, and may be transmitted to the new generations.
