With the aim to characterize the scientific production in the health sciences area in Cuba, we analyzed a group of metric studies make by National Centre of Health Sciences Information-Infomed on this topic. The importance of the process of Cuban scientific production in the largest database to obtain high international visibility is analyzed. Finally, were studied the contributions and main limitations of the previous studied about scientific production developed by the National Centre of Health Sciences information-Infomed.
