The study of vitamins is always an important topic and its understanding is essential for many medical and stomatological specialities. They play an important role in human nutrition and for an adequate health state. The purpose of our study is to update knowledges about vitamins in relation to Stomatology and their obtaining sources. Literature regarding this topic from 1982 to 1995 was reviewed. Concluding, the lacking states of vitamins affect the oral health; and the stomatologist should know the natural sources of vitamins as well as their prophylactic and therapeutic doses.
