A prospective study performed for assessing the airway in patients subjected to orotracheal general annesthesia in Manuel Ascunce Domenech Provincial Hospital of Camagüey eithin a period of 6 months, composed of sample of 100 patients.Mallampat`s Test, mandibular space and motitlity of the neck were determined with the purpose of determining the possibility of difficult airway relating them with, the laringoscopy. It was found that 10% of the studied patients presented disorders in all test applied, demostrating a sensitivity of 100% for foreseeing a difficult intubation, a mentothyroid distance greater than 6cm, mentosternal distance greater than 12 cm and the horizontal length of the mandibula greater or equal to 9 cm; they were related with an airway easy to manage. Mallampati´s test isolated, showed false-positive.
