A descriptive study of blood supply of the liver and biliary was conducted by focusing on origin, topography, vessel length, and relevance in surgical procedures. A 20 preparation sample gathered through macrodissection was subject to measurements. Data were processed statistically. As it turned out, of the six variants in hepatic artery origin, the one that occurred the most (70 %) was the one that protrudes from the celiac trunk, which is claimed by many scholars to be the standards for the vessel. As regards cystic artery origin, the one that prevailed was that which springs forth from the hepatic proper, where as the most frequent variant in the origin of the porta was confluence of upper mesenteric lineal vessels. The latter into which empties the bottom mesenteric. Vessel length and width coincided with standard sizes save for length of the right liver artery which turned out to be the longest. Awareness in all those variants is a must for the handling of surgical procedures.
