Background: Facial and occlusal disharmony bring effects, so much physical, as psychological in people, especially in children and adolescents. Objective: To determine the presence of malocclusions in adolescents from 14 to 18 years and its relation with determined psychosocial factors. Method: A descriptive study at «Camilo Cienfuegos» military school of Camaguey was conducted. The universe of study was constituted by 570 students, according to the inclusion criteria. The sample remained conformed by 200 adolescents with malocclusions, who were diagnosed through a clinical exam carried out at the beginning of the course 2005-2006. Data were expressed in a form and in a survey the psychosocial variables were collected. Results: Adolescents of 15-year-old, male sex predominated, mild malocclusions, Angle´s Class I. Conclusions: The majority of the students were not really affected by the esthetics.
