There is no doubt that, among the arboviruses, dengue fever constitutes a serious health problem, for which it is necessary to encourage the population in order to solve the difficulties that impede the work of preventing this disease and the establishment of community strategies with educational and social communication actions by the doctor and the nurse in primary health care, which allows the consolidation of interdisciplinary and intersectoral work in confronting the vector and this disease as its consequence. The objective of the research is to highlight the importance of the work of prevention of this disease as a challenge in primary health care.
