A prospective study was conducted in patients aged under five presenting with acute diarrhea from July 1 and November 30, 2006 where the 14 Children Municipal Hospitals were selected located in head cities of each of 14 the provinces of our country, and 8 polyclinics were selected in a random way. For diagnosis of Group A rotaviruses Hebertfast (the Cuban production strips). Line rotavirus is a fast test (10 to 15min) of one step for in vitro detection of rotavirus antigen in feces. It was possible to establish a Group A rotavirus diagnosis in 730 (42.1 %) of the cases for the country during study period, with a rang of 19.4 to 74.2 %. By geographic regions, positivity in western region was of 36.4 %, in the central one of 37.4 %, and on eastern one it was of 50.4 %. Province with less positivity was La Habana with 19.4 % and that of greater positivity was Guantanamo with 74.2 %. By single ages, results significant with a incidence of 67.1 % in children aged under 1 year; 37.9 % for those aged one; 18.8 % for aged 2; 9.0 % for aged 3, and 6.9 % for aged 4 (p< 0.5). In July positivity was of 31.9 %, in August it was of 41.5 %, in September of 48.7 %, in October of 51.2 %, and in November it was of 61.5 % (p< 0.5).
