A descriptive-longitudinal research was conducted aimed at improving the program of study for the subject "Education in Work" to a better direction and development of students and tutors in the field of Management of Health Information. The method of anonymous survey with close dichotomy questions was applied to a sample of 60 tutors from the different hospitals units (Hospitals, Polyclinics) and Teaching Centers (Health Affiliate Technology, Medical University) in Pinar del Rio municipality, in agreement with the spaces of work. The majority of the difficulties were found in 53 tutors that did not know the priority of skills students must develop, 44 did not acquire knowledge when linking the different abilities to specific subjects. The totality of those polled referred about the need of improving the program of study. Considering the results obtained: skills to be developed throughout the different academic years were divided into subjects and terms, rotations related to the subjects taught as well, scheduling evaluations at the end of each rotation.
