In Cuba, the transformation of reality through the introduction of scientific results -for the sake of the sustainable development- is a high priority for the first instances of direction since 1959. The introduction of research results has been approached by prestigious authors from different edges and in different contexts, but there are few references related to the theme in the field of the medical education sciences. Consequently, this article presents an analysis on the tendencies of the process of introducing scientific results in the academic sphere, and then outlines the possible theoretic-methodological bases for improving the process in the field of medical education.
