Introduction: The art has the privilege to be considered as the appearance of abilities transforming the man. Pain is one of the more fertile subjects since the artist human being in any moment of his life has known or not the presence of pain. And if it is an artist, necessarily it has repercussion on his work. Objective: To describe a group of artists that due to suffer of painful diseases expressed its pain through painting. Development: The pain, as a anecdotal way, is a sample of the significance of the existence development. From the formal perspective pain is not explained, only it is exemplified as a memorable testimony way. Some specialists favored these ideas; are many the books and assays' assuring that pain, particularly the mental one, is the muse and the stimulus. The first one could be transformed in creation when the melancholy decreases and the sadness to give up. Is the muse embracing us when the person changes its pain's color. Conclusions: It will be endless the number of works that on pain could be added, since much has been discussed on if there or not links between suffering and art, between disease and creation or between performance of artists and the ups-and-downs in its mental state.
