A transversal descriptive study was carried out to know the behavior of intrafamiliar violence on adolescents in the health attention area of Center Policlinic in Camagüey municipality during the year 2000. The investigation's universe was constituted by 251 adolescents (10 - 19 years) of #1 Basic Work Group. A survey was made according to the objectives proposed, the data were processed and attained by a computer. The main results show that abuse prevailed in the feminine sex (58,2%), and the age group 12 - 13 years (33%), higher frequency existed in divorced parents (39,8%), non professionals, working fathers and housewives; alcohol consumption was the most influencing generating factor with a 71%, as well as physical abuse. The multifactorial character of violence among teenagers was the main conclusion reached
