The presence of bioethics in medical teaching is a present-day issue as it deals with subjects related to human behavior toward nature and other living forms. This way, we contribute to the education of a physician with high humanistic values, one who can see in the patient the dialectic relationship between biological and social aspects. General objectives of the syllabus of Human Morphophysiology, taught to students of medicine, are related with the refusal scientific advances use against mankind and environment. On the other hand, part of the discipline is related to Molecular Biology, which raised bioethical concerns since its beginnings. That’s why in this paper, we discuss about the need to stimulate students to consider the bioethical and social problems that molecular biology and its application could involve.
