Resumo

In this paper, we propose to analyze how the beginning teachers are inserted both in private and public secondary schools in Buenos Aires City, based on the characteristics of the incorporation system to teaching. From the interpretivist paradigm, a historical-cultural approach, and a qualitative approach, we carried out in-depth interviews and participant observation in training spaces through which these professors circulate. The outcomes indicate that those who decide to work in state schools resignify "the public sphere", stemming from that election; a phenomenon that we call "to advocate for public school".
