The diagnostic study aimed to characterize the work with the cadres, in its implementation with the novice principal’s schools, in the province of Holguín, considering two dimensions, the experience and preparation prior to access to the position and the work that is carried out subsequently. The results respond to the problem related to the need to know the state in which this object is. The methodology considered the use of empirical methods such as document review and surveys. It was evidenced that the work with the novice principal’s schools presents inadequacies that affect their tenure.
