MANTULAK-STACHUKI, Mario José; HERNANDEZ-PEREZII, Gilberto  e  MICHALUS-JUSCZYSCZYNI, Juan Carlos. Strategic management of technological resources in small sawmills. Ing. Ind. [online]. 2013, vol.34, n.3, pp. 328-339. ISSN 1815-5936.

The work is focused on the small sawmills in the province of Misiones, Argentina. Its objectives are oriented to analyze the technology management in these establishments and to develop a methodological tool for managing technological resources, considering the development of strategic thinking among entrepreneurs. The methods used were bibliographic information searching and data collection directly from the companies, by means of interviews with entrepreneurs and employers. The main results of a technological diagnosis are presented, which provided the framework for the elaboration of a conceptual model and its associate procedures. These procedures are aimed to develop core competencies that enable the improvement of the competitive performance and promote compliance with social and environmental responsibility. The methodological instrument proposed represents an important contribution to the improvement of the strategic decision-making process related to the technological resources, and it should be further developed with the continuity of the research.

Palavras-chave : technological resource management; strategic thinking; small sawmills.
