The mathematical knowledge exists in form of concepts that notice the language, in the system of signs. To assimilate a system of mathematical knowledge means to assimilate these concepts. In the way in that this process is structured in the Mathematics teaching, the domain of these depends in great measure on the part of the students in each teaching level. The particularities of this process are not same in each school stage, because it is it in correspondence with the level of the student's development, in particular with the level of development of the language and of the thought. In this work the considerations of the authors are exposed about the specificities of this process in the teaching of this subject in the Basic Education.
