DZIB MOO, Doris Laury Beatriz. Impact of virtual learning communities on university students during confinement by Covid-19. Conrado [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.76, pp. 56-62. Epub 02-Out-2020. ISSN 1990-8644.
This research aims to know the role that virtual learning communities have in university students in these difficult times in the face of confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For this research, the quantitative methodological approach was used, with a universe of 1,053 students from the February-July 2020 long cycle of the Bachelor of Education Sciences, in the Academic Division of Education and Arts of the Autonomous University of Tabasco, in Mexico. Of the total universe, 96 participants were taken as a sample for the research, all of them from the 8th. Semester. They were considered to be part of the study group, since they are the closest to graduating and have had an approach with virtual communities. For data collection, a form of 13 closed questions on a Likert scale was used as an instrument with response categories that have been previously delimited. The results showed that university students possess technological competences and disposition to make use of this tool, taking advantage of these resources to the extent of their possibilities and the main uses they give them are the search for information on different topics of interest to each one of them.
