This article deals with strategic management and, specifically, strategic control as a tool for monitoring the results of the fulfillment of objectives, as well as checking the effectiveness of strategies, methods and actions to achieve them. The general objective of the study is to facilitate the way in which strategic control is carried out. On the other hand, the specific objectives are aimed at highlighting the importance of strategic control in the achievement of objectives, as well as deepening its knowledge and good practices. The methods used are based on the author's experience, the application of historical-logical methods and analysis and synthesis. The main problems that arise in the application of strategic control and how to avoid them are alerted.
